June 9 Saint John to Moncton Via the Backroads

Another rainy day here in the East however the chunky clouds and stormy skies are great for images!  Today was our last full day in New Brunswick, home to many of the historic covered bridges.  Similar to geocaching, we are finding it fun to deviate from the main roads.
We are getting pretty stuffed with eating and need to figure out a better food plan... so far not one of our fish and chips orders has been not good though!  All the food is excellent and all of the servings are way too big! #firstworldproblem
Today's images:

A wooden barn from 1890 still standing at the end of a 7 km narrow dirt backroad near the second covered bridge of the day.
Man in the Hat working again! :)
Right beside the freeway!  All I had to do was jump the guardrail to get this view!  :)
The 7 km drive.  Zero traffic!

Raindrops keep falling on our... trip.  But that doesn't mean we can't have fun!
Bye Bye Bridges.  You are likely the last one we will see this trip!
Just about the top of high tide at the "Flower Pots" at Hopewell Rocks.  We dallied too long on our way from Saint John.  We can go back tomorrow to see low tide but... too many things to see not enough time!
He looks kind of little but he is a full size moose!  Lots of warning signs along the roads and we "don't want to drive in the dark" according to locals.  We believe them.  Narrow roads with bush to the edges. Pretty though.
As we left our "last" bridge a girl and her dog came past on their way for a walk.  So I stole this shot! :)
A view from the bridge window!  These bridges were covered to protect the structure from weather, with the assumption that this protection would help them last longer - it seems to have worked!
Here is one for our Structural Engineer! Built in 1905 and supported in the distance by The Man in the Hat - can you see him?
Saved!  A decomissioned lighthouse saved by a local interest group!
Which would you rather do?  Geocache or look for Red Chairs??? Vote :)

The captains of these boats will not be going out to sea for a while!  The tides dictate work schedules!  #rockbottom
Backroads all to ourselves!  What will we find around the next corner?  What's over that hill? :) :)
