June 14 A Whole Day In Baddeck ~ Cape Breton

We actually slept in today!  Until 8! 2 hours longer than we have been.  A bit more rain overnight and a super quiet part of the world in a comfy bed.
Today was a Baddeck day and a great one. We toured the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, a Parks Canada site here in this small town.  Randy was really in his glory and I loved it as well.  Definately interesting and inspiring, filled with a great minds lifework.  We were there a few hours but more time could be spent, he invented and explored much more than the telephone!
There is a replica of the first plane flown in Canada on display inside the venue too!
Then.  We went sailing!  On a real sailboat!  First time and now we see why people get so hooked on it!  So quiet and smooth and fast!  Windpower!!
The people here are very nice and laid back and super friendly.  They are still gearing up for the "busy time" coming July and August.  Many of the people who work here only come for the summer.
Off tomorrow to Ingonish :)
The Bell Museum Chairs :) :)  The museum was more interesting.
After supper we went to find "our ship" on his evening sail.  Wanted a shot of the boat with sails up!
Our sail boat :) :)
The Awesome Crew!
I actually walked out on the bow and posed for this shot!  #braveoldlady
Good Night!
