June 11 PEI

Full day.  Nice breakfast to start the day here in the hotel - no need to hunt for food - not that we are needing it!  We headed up to the north part of the island and explored the national park, making our way around the backroads towards Green Gables.  Lots of cyclists and a few other tourists this Saturday although overall it is pretty darn quiet.  Locals say the busy times are July and August.
Magnolia Warbler... we have these back home but haven't ever seen one!
Ground level view from our room
Potato Planter :)
Out of the dunes!
Lots of fox -- one with socks!
Charlottetown Harbour
Under those hills... lies some fries!
Hot today.  It got to 23 at one point.  After our explore of the north we cut kitty corner across the middle down to Summerside where we watched some sailboats, ate some late lunch and enjoyed a patio.  While there we noticed a lighthouse across the water so we took an extended long way back here to Charlottetown.  Got to see some farm machinery used for planting potatoes and lots of planted fields.  Rolling hills, green green grass and red planted lines of potatoes!  Yum yum yum!  Although we did not have fish today.  #fishnchips Good night!
