Bridging the Weather ~ Exploring the Backroads ~ St Andrews to Fredericton and Further

Wow!  It sure can rain here! Which explains some of the reason for the wonderful green :)  and with all of the bedrock base we aren't finding any mud so it is all good.  June 7, 2016 and we have been away over a week though it does not feel like it.  The time and distances make sense now as most of our speeds have been anywhere from 60 to 80 kpm on windy narrow roads with moose and deer signs and many potholes.  Traffic is pretty much non existent.

Internet wasn't working very well here last night so this is yesterday's blog. :)

On our way back to Fredericton last night along the north side of the Saint John River making our way back from Hartland NB
Starting out from St Andrews each day is an empty blank highway waiting for us!

Our very first covered bridge!  We took a few backroads to get to this old beauty on the Flume River!

Through the windshield with my iPhone on the longest covered bridge in the world!  Hartland NB

Largest AXE!  Of course we had to grab the geocache hidden near this big tool!  See the little man in the hat?  Along the St John river between Hartland and Fredericton.

A side view of the longest covered bridge!  The Hartland Bridge in Hartland, New Brunswick, is the world's longest covered bridge, at 1,282 feet (391 m) long. It crosses the Saint John River from Hartland to Somerville, New Brunswick

Last night it began to pour and it is still raining today!  So much pure clean water!! :)
